Baking History at the IEEE Milestone Celebration

At Rukie Cookie Inc, we believe STEAM isn't just about science and technology—it's about storytelling, creativity, and community. And sometimes, it's about cookies too.

We were honored to be part of a historic celebration this month: the IEEE Milestone recognition for the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) at Princeton University—the very place where this groundbreaking algorithm was developed.

🍪 Cookies at the Crossroads of History and Innovation

To mark this monumental achievement in computing and signal processing, we brought a unique twist to the table: our signature Miso-Glazed Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Baked with care and purpose, these cookies served not only as a sweet celebration but as a symbol of our mission—to blend innovation with inclusion, curiosity with community.

🎓 A Gathering of Minds

The event was graced by Andrea Goldsmith, the Dean of Engineering at Princeton University, and Thomas Coughlin, the 2024 President of IEEE, among many other distinguished guests. Together, we reflected on the past impact of FFT and the future potential of young minds who may one day create the next breakthrough.

As we served our cookies, we shared the story behind them: that every dollar raised goes toward free chess programs for youth—because we believe nurturing strategic thinkers begins with opportunity.

♟️ From Algorithms to Ambitions

Just as the Fast Fourier Transform changed the world of data and computation, we believe that empowering youth through STEAM education—starting with chess—is a quiet revolution of its own.

Chess teaches the kind of thinking behind algorithms like FFT: structured problem-solving, foresight, and the courage to make bold moves. By supporting young people in underserved communities, we're investing in the next generation of thinkers, builders, and leaders.

🧠 Innovation Can Be Sweet

It was a proud moment to stand among pioneers in engineering while representing a new generation of changemakers. Our cookies may not run algorithms, but they’re helping fund the minds who one day might.

Thank you to IEEE PCJS , Princeton University, and every supporter who believes in blending tradition with transformation.

At Rukie Cookie Inc, we bake with purpose—one cookie, one class, one bright future at a time.

With warmth and gratitude,
